  1. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, hereafter called the « Foundation » is selling 200,000 tickets at a cost of CDN$10 each. The tickets are numbered 100 001 to 300 000. Each ticket gives the holder the chance to win only one of the one thousand and six (1006) prizes described herein, which have a total value of $650,000. The tickets are available at the following places of business located in the province of Québec (period of sale can vary depending on the sale network) :

    • in the branches of the Jean Coutu network
    • in the branches of RBC Royal Bank
    • in Archambault stores
    • in the offices of Bonneville Homes
    • in the « Foundation » regional offices
    • in some other authorized outlets
    • online at loterieducoeur.ca
  2. Eligibility

    The lottery is open exclusively to residents of Québec, 18 years of age and older. Employees and members of the board of directors of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Québec are not eligible to enter this lottery.

  3. The sale of tickets will end on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Daylight Saving Time.
  4. Tickets are non-refundable. The lottery ticket is not tax deductible.
  5. Only official coupons will be accepted. Photocopies or manual reproductions will not be accepted. Coupons must be deposited in official boxes to be considered valid for the contest.
  6. All coupons become the property of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
  7. The draw for the Grand Prize will take place on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. Daylight Saving Time at Bonneville Homes’ office, located in Beloeil, Québec.

    The Grand Prize, valued at approximately $500,000, including taxes, includes:

    • A Natur-E house * from Bonneville Homes valued at $400,000, all taxes included
    • $100,000 in cash

    * The winner may receive the house from Bonneville Homes in the municipality of his/her choice in Québec only (with the exception of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine region or any other region where the house cannot be transported) in accordance with the following conditions:

    1. the lot chosen must have public and municipal services.
    2. the Grand Prize includes the delivery and installation of the house within a 600 km radius of Bonneville Homes’ facilities, located in Beloeil. Beyond that 600 km radius, the cost of delivery of the house will be at the winner’s expense ($100/additional km) and the winner will have to make the necessary arrangements with Bonneville Homes. If suppliers must be hired to carry out the delivery or installation of the house, they must be approved in advance by Bonneville Homes.
    3. the winner accepts Bonneville Homes’ inclusions and exclusions as set out in appendix A.
    4. in the event that the winner is a resident of Îles-de-la-Madeleine or any other region where the house cannot be transported, he/she will have to have the house installed elsewhere in Québec or accept the sum of $250,000.
  8. The Grand Prize winner will be advised by telephone or registered mail within seven (7) days following the date of the draw. The winner must accept the prize as it is described in the rules and regulations and in appendix A. If the winner chooses the Grand Prize that includes the house, he/she must have the house delivered before December 31, 2013. The winner will have to give Bonneville Homes four (4) months’ notice for the delivery of the house and allow six (6) months for on-site finishing work. The house must be delivered between the months of October and April.
  9. The Grand Prize winner may also choose to receive the sum of $250,000 in lieu of the Grand Prize which includes the house from Bonneville Homes and the cash award. Should the winner choose the sum of $250,000, the Foundation will remit to the winner a cheque in the amount of $250,000. The winner will have thirty (30) days from the date of the claiming of the prize to choose between the Grand Prize which includes the Bonneville house or the sum of $250,000.
  10. The draw for the remaining 1,005 prizes will take place immediately following the Grand Prize draw at Bonneville Homes, located in Beloeil, Québec. Coupons will be drawn at random in the following order:

    1. 5 tickets drawn each for a $10,000 prize
    2. 1,000 tickets drawn each for a $100 gift-cart from Archambault
  11. The Foundation will contact the winners of the cash prizes within seven (7) days following the date of the draw. The other winners will be contacted within 60 days following the draw. Should the draw organizers be unable to reach winning ticket holders, the latter will have until December 31, 2012 to claim their prize. Should the winners fail to meet this deadline, they will be deemed to have renounced their prize. In the case that one or more prizes are not claimed, the Foundation will inform the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux to determine a procedure to follow. The winners may claim their prize from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, 1434 Sainte-Catherine Street West, Suite 500, telephone: 1 800 567-8563.
  12. Winners of $10,000 prizes must sign a waiver form, confirming that they have conformed to official rules and regulations and that they accept the prize as awarded, without substitution, and that he/she releases the Foundation, its partners, officers, management, builders, suppliers, representatives and respective agents from any and all liability pertaining to losses, damages, claims, requests, lawsuits, legal processes, fees, costs and any other obligation whatsoever, sustained, incurred or entered into by the winner or any other person, with respect to the drawing or the prize. Winners must return the signed waiver form within thirty (30) days following its receipt.
  13. In all instances where a prize is claimed, the Foundation will award the prize exclusively to the person whose name appears on the draw ticket or to a person designated by the latter, in writing.
  14. All winners must accept to have their name, picture, image, voice or declaration used for promotional purposes by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Québec or its partners, without any expectation of remuneration.
  15. The winners of the Grand Prize and the prizes in cash will be announced in Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec. All the winners will be announced on the loterieducoeur.ca, heartandstroke.qc.ca and bonnevillehomes.com web sites.

  17. The present lottery is subject to all municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations. All rights and taxes have been paid. All amounts are in Canadian dollars.
